Solution
Bed joint masonry reinforcement was incorporated throughout the two storey building, together with concealed pinning techniques which addressed the cracking and distortion of flat arches. One thousand dry fix ties where used to address the brick de-lamination throughout the building.
Masonry beaming to facing brick on front elevation required insertion of twin 6mm s/s rods. All cuts (70mm deep) had to be hidden above and below decorative stringer course for aesthetic reasons.
